I am unable to Log In; what could be the problem?

Your user name and login are case sensitive.  Be sure your CAPS Lock is not on and try again. 

Make sure you are using the correct password.  If this is the first time you are logging in, use the password provided to you; if you have already completed your initial login, you need to make sure you are using the unique password which you were prompted to create upon your initial login.

 What do I do if my student is not on the list?

 If this is a new student, it may take a few days for your district and the Data Warehouse to upload the information.  Try searching for the student again in a day or two.

If this is an existing student, contact your district CIO to ensure that there is an enrollment record for the student. 

I am unable to connect to BARS. 

Make sure you are using Internet Explorer version 5.5 or higher.  If you are, make sure that your district does not have the site block with firewall protection.  See your IT administrator or CIO to determine this.

How do I assign an account? 

From the main screen click on “User Administration” then click on “Add User” and follow the screen prompts to assign a user name and password.

Who is responsible for assigning the accounts?

The district CIO or district data administrator is assigned an administrative account, which will allow them to create accounts for all other users.

Once  my data is delivered, how long will it take to see the reports?

Reports should be available within one week.

What options are available when I export the reports?

Reports are available in PDF, Excel, RTF and XML formats.

How am I able to assign accounts by buildings?

When adding a user the account administrator will be able to select a particular school to be assigned.

What will a building level user see?

Building level users will see all students assigned to that building.

What will a district level user see?

District level users will see all students district-wide.

If all filters are left blank, what do I see?

If no filters are selected the user has access to all report information.

What do I do if I forgot my password?

Click “Support” on the bottom of the Home page and call the number listed or contact the district data administrator.
